Upton State Forest

Upton State Forest is dog-friendly. This 2,660-acre forest offers visitors a whistle-stop tour of what life was like in the past in this area. The Civilian Conservation Corps, a program that provided employment during the Great Depression, was located here, so history buffs will love this park. There's also a pet-friendly, two-mile Healthy Heart Trail that leaves from the car park. Dogs are welcome on a leash, as long as all mess is cleaned up after them. Upton State Forest is open every day of the week from sunrise to sunset. Visit Website

    Nice trails

Every time I visit the park is never overly crowded. All dog owners have been friendly and a few dogs are off leash. This park has some great trails for the dogs, the only negative is there isn't a trash can to help clean up after your dog (at least not in the smaller parking lot).
