    Sand Harbor State Park

    Sand Harbor State Park is a pet-friendly recreation area in Incline Village, NV. Located on the lake's eastern shore, this area comprises gently sloping beaches, crystal-clear water, and interesting rock formations. Many people enjoy swimming, scuba diving and generally exploring the water here. Pets are allowed during the off-season from mid-October to mid-April and must be kept on a leash under six feet long.       Only half the year?

      Dog friendly only half the year? That is not very dog friendly.

      Wonderful spot for a lab

      We take our yellow lab there about once a week from October 15th to April 15th. We throw his toy (a small boat fender) either in one of the coves or off the end of one of the docks. You have to consider walking through the snow to get from the paths to the shoreline. Be prepared.

      we came by the day after they closed for dogs for the season. the restaurant was also closed for the season and it would take a month to get a refund for the $15 parking.

      most expensive rest area I’ve ever been to.

      This is Dog’s paradise

      The perfect place for a nice walk with your dogs. Has wonderful views and lots of resting benches, easy parking too!

      Amazing Trail, Incredible Views, Watch Out For Pet Paws On The Pavement!

      Words cannot express the beautiful scenery and views from this new multi use trail. The trail can be tough on sensitive pet paws, so take care to protect them!
