Wild Horse State Recreation Area
Leashed dogs can visit the pet-friendly Wild Horse State Recreation Area in Elko, NV. This remote area is popular among dogs and their owners looking to escape it all. Anglers will enjoy the park’s reservoir, full of rainbow and German brown trout, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and catfish. For landlubbers, the wildlife includes pronghorn, mule deer and elk. Note that dogs must remain leashed, and a fee may apply to enter the park.
