Glass Beach

Pet-friendly Glass Beach, the southern-most beach of MacKerricher State Park in Fort Bragg, CA, allows leashed dogs to explore with their owners. Glass Beach gets its name from the smooth colorful glass pieces that light up the ground among the pebbles. The former trash dump was once covered in broken bottles that have been smoothed by the tide. Don't take any glass away with you. Visit Website

    Gorgeous but…

great views, but not a great place to walk with dogs. many cliffs, and thousands of prairie dogs to drive your dog nuts. it was very crowded and people seemed annoyed we had dogs with us. zero garbage cans

    Crowded

Nice place to visit but there are plenty of people and most of the glass are gone

    Lots to explore

Rocks to climb on. Tide pools to see. Water to splash in. Seaweed to smell. Glass is mostly gone except for one smaller area. Good views. Dog must be on leash.
