    Beautiful park, dog friendly!

We spent a couple hours walking around this park with our two dogs. Dogs must be on leash, but they are welcome everywhere outdoors other than the Japanese Garden. This is a huge and well maintained park with several walking trails.

    Beautiful spot in Seattle

I visited this gem this past weekend with my dog Jax. What a beautiful park and just wonderful grounds. Peaceful, quiet, a great place to sit and stay awhile. You can walk the dozens of endless trails with your pup or have a nice lunch at one of the picnic tables located throughout the park. You can also ride your bike on the paved paths. A great way to spend your day in Seattle!

    A nice, mostly paved walk!

I had never gone to the arboretum before today, and my pup and I had an amazing time. There are lots of dogs, runners, bikers, and squirrels. A great place for desensitization training for a hyperactive herder like mine. Definitely not the best for reactive dogs, at least during the busier times.
I will say most of the bikers that passed us gave us zero warning before zipping past us and frightened the pup a tad. Otherwise, had a great time walking the paths and enjoying the variety of plants!

    Beautiful walking trails

Went on a sunny Saturday and had a great time. The parking was difficult to find and we were worried that the park would be too crowded to enjoy. However, we never were never overwhelmed by people just the beauty. Occasionally we would pass someone on the trails or we would be passed by cyclists. Everyone was friendly and our high strung English Setter was able to relax and enjoy having dirt under her paws. There are so many secluded areas with benches to sit and relax, drink some water, and take in all the beauty. Lots of shade so the pup stayed cool. The park is extremely well maintained and pet owners seemed to be responsible for picking up after their pets. Great place to get out of the city and listen to all of the birds.

    Beautiful

This place is absolutely beautiful and clean. Whenever I go to the park I always see what irresponsible owners left behind. This place have trails and paved area that will make your pooch get a great workout. The map included Japanese park which does not allow dogs and entrace fee is $6.

Great for a short city escape

The arboretum is a fantastic place to take the dog if you don't have time to get out of the city. Great landscape, a variety of plants and animals, huge paved trails that are friendly for dogs and humans of all shapes and sizes. Beautiful and accessible year-round.

    Plenty of Space

The Arboretum is a long, narrow park that is intensively managed for its beautiful plants. It has plenty of well-maintained trails, open grassy spots, and even lake access. It's big enough that you can easily steer clear of other dogs if you have a leash-unfriendly dog like mine.
