Bar Harbor Shore Path

Bar Harbor Shore Path is dog-friendly. More than a century old, this level walking path follows the shore of Frenchman Bay from the centrally located Town’s Ells Pier to Wayman Lane along the East shore. It passes one of Bar Harbor’s oldest inns. The coastal sights are great too, including views of the Porcupine Islands, Balance Rock, Egg Rock Light and the Schoodic Peninsula. Dogs are welcome on a leash on the path. It can be accessed all day. Visit Website

Can be a bit narrow / crowded during weekends but so pretty! We had a lovely walk with our 4 month old puppy recently on the shore path.

Best For Small Dogs/non Busy Days

It’s a narrow crushed gravel path along water. It was tight anytime someone tried to walk in other direction past us (2 humans, 1 60# lab)
