Queen Mary II is a pet-friendly cruise ship that travels between New York and Southampton, UK. A kennel master will look after your pooch during the journey, clean up, and even walk them in the recreation area. Dogs heading to the U.K. from the U.S. will require microchipping, rabies vaccinations, tapeworm and flea and tick treatment (within a certain time of your trip), and a pet passport. Everything needs to be signed off by a veterinarian along the way. Dogs heading the other way need a valid health certificate and a rabies vaccination. The upper kennels are 27″ x 35 1/2″ x 30″ and the lower kennels are 36″ x 35 1/2″ x 30″. Pets in the upper kennels must weigh under 26 lbs, whereas larger animals are housed in the lower kennels. The fee for animals is $800 in the upper kennel and $1,000 in the lower kennel. Dog visiting hours are after breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m., for brunch at 11 a.m. to noon, for afternoon tea at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. and for supper from 8 to 8:30 p.m.
