Sloan's Lake Park

Sloan's Lake Park is pet-friendly. The 177-acre park is the second largest of Denver's parks, located in the Highlands neighborhood. It's bordered by a 2.6-mile trail for walking, jogging and walking your pooch on a leash. Fishing, boating and water skiing are allowed on the lake and the annual Colorado Dragon Boat Festival is held there, too. The park is open every day of the week from 5am to 11pm. Visit Website

    Beautiful lake with mountain views

My dogs and I are visiting Denver for the week and after looking at all of the off leash dog parks and seeing that they were all sand, I decided to try Sloans Lake and glad I did! Even though there is not an off leash area, it’s a beautiful place to walk and there are lots of dogs and green grass. Much better than a stinky dirty pee park that would’ve required a bath in the Airbnb afterward!
