Not dissing homeless people - I know that they need somewhere to go - but road trippers looking for a dog park might want to be aware that half of the dog park is now an encampment. We would have stayed anyway except the conditions in the dog park are pretty bad and possibly unhealthy for dogs - dirty water in pools, garbage, etc. Sad because you can tell it was an awesome place for dogs a few years ago.

Love coming here with my pups Bruce and Milo! The park has two seperate fenced areas to enjoy, both with water systems for the dogs and places to sit for the humans. There are always so many friendly people here and a lot of regulars. It would be nice if the city could fix up the road to it- I feel so bad bumping the dogs all over the place!

Trixie and I enjoyed our stop at Houska Dog Park. It is a large, completely fenced area with shade, picnic tables, and bathrooms for humans. Water was available when we were there, too. As we are road tripping, I loved how easy it was to get to - right off the highway.
