We drove out here to find a sign saying closed no trespassing.

We stopped at this lighthouse on our way up to Boothbay Harbor. It was a little bit off the highway, but easy to find with the GPS. It is down a private road and only accessible during the day. The parking lot is small but there was only one other car when we arrived. There is a small path to the boardwalk that leads to the lighthouse. Although this lighthouse is very small we had a great time exploring. It was a nice stop on our long drive.

went on a weekday in the summer when local state parks were already filled to capacity and were very pleased. there wasn’t another person around. it was down about a two mile dirt road though and be sure to do a tick check after. I wish we had brought a picnic lunch!

Very uncrowded lighthouse - easy to hit off the highway as you're exploring other parts of Maine without driving 1/2 hr or more off the highway like most other lighthouses.
Small and cute, near private property so not a very long stay. Great and easy for dogs because it isn't crowded, and has very good construction to get out to said lighthouse.
