Hermitage Castle
Hermitage Castle is pet-friendly. Dogs are welcome in the castle and around the wider site. The medieval castle has an interesting history that begins in 1240. The castle became obsolete after the Union of the Crowns in 1603, and by the turn of the eighteenth century it was a ruin. You and your pooch can gain access to the site from April to the end of October. The castle is open every day from 9.30am to 5.30pm.
