Funiculaire du Vieux-Québec

The Funicular of Old Quebec, which was first built in 1879, is pet-friendly. The railway that operates using gravity scales 195 feet from the Basse-Ville to the Haute-Ville, all while offering views over the historic old town. Dogs are allowed on the funicular for no additional fee. Visit Website

Chien Welcome!
The Funiculaire had many signs with green dogs indicating dogs were welcome. We rode in the car with our English Lab saving her some stairs. Note that there are a couple stairs to get to the car. No charge for the pup, just the humans.

Fun funicular
Any dog any size seems completely welcome for free on the Funicular. our dog is a 75 lb Lab-Rottie, who was a little nervous on the first trip (up) that we took, but on another day (going down) he seemed completely fine. The cost per person is now $5.00 CAN, and it’s cash only.

Dog friendly ride
We were grateful to be able to bring Vinny up the funicular back to the hotel - it’s a multistory climb back up from the historic district shops & restaurants. $4/human

A great way to get around!
I half expected to get grief about bringing my dog, but no one batted an eyelid or even acknowledged her, even when she got frightened by the turnstile! 5/5 for us!

Dog friendly
Brought my 80-pound dog on the funiculaire with no issues. $3.75 per adult. (Free for the disabled). 1-2 minute ride.
