Nahmakanta Public Land is a pet-friendly wooded preserve on 43,000 acres near Brownville, ME. Hikers, campers, hunters, fishermen, snowmobilers and paddlers all enjoy the rugged hills, abundant wildlife and clear waters of this remote region southwest of Baxter State Park. Explore 24 "great ponds" (10 or more acres in size) and more than 50 miles of undeveloped shoreline.     Explore with your pup

    this place is great to explore with your dog if you want to go camping and have access to dozens of lakes, rivers, and trails
    You may not see another person and dogs have no problem being off leash everywhere. Just be careful that they don’t chase to the wildlife.
