East Rock Dog Park

East Rock Dog Park i a fenced area in New Haven, CT, that features a separate area for small dogs. Trees are planted for shade and there's a bench for humans to relax on. Dogs and people can get some refreshment at the water fountains. The field next to the park is often unused, and people bring their dogs to run around the field, too.

Convenient location, solid first visit
I was uncertain how many “bones” to give this park, because I didn’t have any real complaints. Hard to say with a dusting of February snow, but ground seemed clean and well-maintained, with small stones/pebbles (?) and a scattering of dog toys like so many similar parks. It was on the small side, but still a decent park especially if your dog enjoys running and playing. If I lived in the neighborhood I would probably say 4 stars; but for someone with several other parks an equal drive away in greater new haven, it was just ok.
