Ben Burton Park
Leashed dogs are welcome to join their humans at Ben Burton Park in Athens, GA. This beautiful, 32-acre wildlife preserve is a great place for a picnic or a quiet walk through the woods on the 1.4 mile pedestrian trail. The park also offers access to the Middle Oconee River where you can fish, kayak or canoe. Please be sure to clean up after your pet during your visit. Dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet and under your control at all times per ACC Ordinance.
