  Super close to Jackson

  My husband and I are not expert hikers by any means so these trails were perfect for us. The signs there say dogs must be on a leash but we saw multiple dogs off leash on the trail. A local told us that dogs only need to be on a leash in the parking lot and that off leash was ok on the trail. Again we aren’t big hikers so we did take a wrong turn and ended up going longer than we thought.

  This is a great place to bring the pup and it’s just 8 minutes from downtown! came here in the winter. easy parking, beautiful views and the trail was packed down to just wear my Yak-Trax instead of snow shoes. I started at the Putt Putt trail head

  Great Trails To Explore With Your Dog

  This trail system is our favorite when we’re in Jackson! There are many miles of single track, a creek running through near the parking area and lower trails, lots of shade, and poop bags are provided near the trailhead. We always run into plenty of other dogs, many off leash, so be aware of this if your dog is reactive or doesn’t like other dogs. These trails also get a lot of use by mountain bikers. Everyone we meet here is always very friendly and pleasant to interact with - dogs included!
