    Great views but...

Great views and the hike up was difficult, but be warned---the roads are terrible! We went up in a Honda Pilot and still bottomed out several times on rocks and large washout areas. The road has severe storm damage so 4WD and high clearance vehicles are a definite must right now on this road system. It took about 35 minutes or more just to reach the trail head driving slow up those roads. The views were spectacular though and the climb moderately difficult. We had a great time and a good work out. 3 bones just for the bad roads.
