Fido is permitted on the dog-friendly landscaped grounds surrounding the stunning Washington Monument in Washington, DC. Built to honor George Washington, the United States' first president, this 555-foot monument is a sight to behold. Pets are allowed around the Tidal Basin and on the grounds of the memorials, but not inside the memorials themselves. Dogs must be kept on a leash during your visit.
