    Fenced & not fenced

This enclosed dog park is open from 7 am to dusk and features many shaded areas and a doggie drinking fountain. The entire park is also an off-leash park Monday - Friday only. Saturday and Sunday dogs are allowed off-leash only in the enclosed dog park.

    Unfenced park

Great park. Best for weekends. I actually like the fact it’s not fenced. Doesn’t have that fish bowl feeling. Grass always looks nice. Plenty of shade areas to sit. Most dogs get along great & other owners understand the whole territory dogs vibes than can happen. Dogs will dogs! Peaceful place. NOT off leash during school hours. School next door. Weekends are best. No parking fee.

    End of the road

google maps shows the park right off the highway. the park is at the dead end of that exit road. just keep going about 1/2mile. some grass, some shade, bathrooms, water, no fenced in area I could see.

    Great Park!

Beautiful, shaded, and grassy. People misunderstand and think the dog park is ONLY the fenced-in area. Mon-Fri the WHOLE PARK is off-leash for friendly dogs. There's even a hiking trail where dogs are welcome (leash dogs because it's narrow and there are blind curves). Weekends, it is limited to the fenced areas as the picnic areas are used for parties. Yes, there's a parking fee ($3) on weekdays ($5 Sat/Sun).

    Park Closed Due To Fire

Sadly the recent Wolsey fire has caused this doggy park to close. They are projecting a late March reopening.

    Pay for parking

As of July 2015 whether you're here for 10 minutes or two days you have to pay for parking and you have to get it in advance

    *enclosed park* review

I attended the enclosed part with my malamute and husky. Pros: great shade
Cons: no grass just dirt, though that may be someone else's preference.
Drinking fountain looked dirty and looked to have mildew on it.
Not very big. At all. My boys didn't get any exercise but I'm sure for smaller dogs it's enough space.
Parking costs $2. Not expensive but not worth it.
We got there and there was a woman with a small puppy, she picked him up as soon as she saw my big mal in the parking lot. We came in and she asked if they were friendly and I said yes. Her puppy sprinted and my mal thought it was playing chase. The woman freaked out and started yelling at us. I kept saying it's ok he won't hurt your dog. In fact my dog was just licking her dogs snout once he caught up to her puppy who had hidden in a corner. We proceeded to tell her her yelling was unnecessary and that it's an off leash park and if she doesn't want her dog to be chased or if it is scared of all other dogs then maybe she shouldn't bring him. She took offense to this and walked off. I brought her water dish back to her that she had left. She complained about our dogs at the entrance gate. The woman at the gate said it has happened before with her dog and that the past 6 months have been good with no dog fights at all but previously she had seen some bad ones.
It's a shame because it's in a beautiful area. For us, we will drive extra to go to big sky in Simi Valley which is one of the best parks I've ever seen.

This park is only as good as the people of Friends Of Camarillo Dog Parks work to maintain it. Please use it and help maintain it. Members are working free for the community towards a great dog park experience for all. Please feel free to pitch in and help If U see something that needs to be addressed and U aren't able to rectify it, seek out a member and tell us. Unfixed dogs owners should let others know of the dogs age, gender and keep an eye out for other dogs getting agressive toward it..please be responsible for your dogs situation. Carry bottled water to brake up unwanted agression Thank you.

    Fenced area not secure

This is the only dog park I am aware of in Camarillo, although I recently relocated here, so there may be more. I was disappointed that the fenced area for dogs is not verys ecure. There are many places where dogs have either dug out under the fence or rain water has eroded it. There is also a sliding gate with a large gap. In addition to this, people were coming in and leaving without closing the double gates at all. My small dog is the reason I use the fenced area because she is a bit shy and I don't trust her off leash yet, so I was disappointed that the fenced area wasn't suitable for her. The unfenced area is quite nice, grassy, lots of poop scoop stations. I know there is funding in the works to make this park better, I truly hope that happens.

    GREAT PLACE

This place has it all! Very few dog parks allow your dog to walk/hike in a pack. Entire park is off-leash during the week so DRIVE SLOWLY when entering the park. Grassy areas, trails to hike, enclosed dog area for dogs needing secured area...has it all!

    Camarillo Grove Dog Park

A lovely park! It has lots of space, lots of trees, a fenced area for small dogs or shy dogs or puppies, and trails for hiking. A1.
