Great for walking dog on leash

It's not a dog park but a great park to walk your dog or rather a stroll. There's plenty of shade, benches, parking, very clean bathroom. I seen them power wash it. Another trail on the other side and the lake is very peaceful to look at.

    Beautiful Place to Hike

It's a beautiful place to hike with your dog, well maintained trails. I recommend going in the morning so you'll feel like you have the spot all to yourself. I felt it was worth the $3.00 parking fee to walk along the redwood trees.

Nice park, but not particularly dog fiendly...

Nice big park, but there's nothing here that would make you want to pick this for your dog.
They do require all dogs to be on leash at all times and there is no off-leash area in the park.
In fact the official rules specify: "Dogs must be restrained by a leash at all times (6 foot maximum)"

    clear this up

Having been there, I can say that I have not seen any off-leash area. Regarding the parking, I just park across the street at the baseball field, and avoid parking charges.

    Off or On Leash?

Please confirm if this park is off or on leash?

    Carbon Canyon Dog Park?

Carbon Canyon Regional Park looks like a spectacular place, with trails to walk your dog. However, in the maps of the park and the signage AT the park, there is no mention of the "off-leash dog park" that I've heard was there. And there's a $3.00 parking fee that isn't mentioned anywhere, either. My mother can't hike, but likes to watch her dog run, and I'm not keen on paying to walk my dog, so we'll just opt for the free dog park in Fullerton instead.
