    No Dogs Allowed On Beach

Leashed dogs allowed on trails, but NO DOGS allowed on the beach at all, whether there are seals or not. $500 fine if you bring your dog. See my photo below.

    carkeek

Carkeek has a lot of great trails and but if you take your dog off the leash get ready to be fined and receive a ticket. All in all it's close to the house and we enjoying going.

    beach access not technically allowed

Carkeek is a park with a grassy knoll, short but gorgeous trails with incline, and beach access. Dogs aren't allowed on the waterfront technically but that is only enforced when seal pups are on shore after being newly born. This is a great place to see the salmon run around Thanksgiving. Trails cross and follow the stream that the salmon have to travel up from the sound to get to their mating grounds. Dogs love this place and we usually run into at least one or two other dogs that are willing to romp around on the beach or in the grass with us.
