    Nice Grass Space

The exercise area is in fenced. There are waste bags and a trash can but no water.

Great for walking on a leash

Dog area is not fenced in. Just an open area right next to the road in the park leading you to the parking lot.
My Dog loves to swim and I could not find anywhere to get safely down to the Willamette River to let her swim.
This is a beautiful park and a great place to walk the trails and park area with your pup.

    It's pretty.

Beautiful park with maintained trails. Rangers do not like dogs off leash. Even if no one else is on the area.

    I Love Champoeg

I love this area in Champoeg Park. Yes- it is not fenced and so my terrier stays on leash but my lab loves it. There is a little creek, wild animal smells, not many people or dogs usually. My terrier loves it too, she chases insects as far as the leash lets her. I love the changing seasons at Champoeg.

    How disappointing!

I brought my dogs to this park and found out it does not even have a fenced area for the dogs. The dog park reports it is an "off leash" park, but I would not let my Terrier off leash due to the park being next to a road with cars driving by. In my opinion, this is not a safe dog park until a fenced area is built to protect the dogs who will run. I hope in the future, a fenced area will be built for this "off leash" dog park!
