Newtown Battlefield State Park is a pet-friendly recreation area in Elmira, NY. Located just uphill from the Lackawanna Rail Trail, it feels so removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. You and your pooch will find a few miles of winding, clearly-marked trails that provide breathtaking views. Campers are limited to two pets on overnight stays. Be sure to keep Fido on a leash and wear orange during hunting season because it is permitted in the park.
