Visitors find Arches National Park visually stunning but not very dog-friendly, as dogs are only allowed inside vehicles with limited trail access. They recommend finding alternative activities better suited for enjoying with dogs.

Dogs ARE welcome—inside your car.
If you plan on visiting Arches, I wouldn’t bring the pup along. The only dog-friendly trail is a lengthy, one-way dirt road that only four-wheelers can access. If a car happens to come down the road, you’ll have to try your luck with the rattlers in the bushes.
The park is amazing and the views are spectacular, but Arches isn’t the best place for hiking with your furry friend.

Easy gate entry.

Find something better to do WITH your dog for the day. Try going on a hike and telling your child they have to wait in the car.
- LauraOct 3, 2020Pretty Cool
The park itself is definitely not really dog friendly but I still enjoyed driving through and seeing all the cool arches and rock formations from the car. There are lots of turn outs where you can take pictures.
- EfrainJul 4, 2020The Park Is Astonishing And Dogs Are “welcome”
this park is absolutely astonishing beautiful. Dogs are welcome in the park overall but not in any of the walking trails.
They have the visitors center closed (COVID and 2020 can suck it) but in the visitor center area they have water for the dogs.
if you’re planning on hiking, someone will have to stay with dogs in parking areas.
