    Great Local Longer Walk

our favorite longer local walk at the local bar water reservoir with beautiful views, safety from cars, and great one direction use and face mask signage.

    Hit or Miss

I also agree with the review that the dog park is hit or miss.
I agree that there are definitely "regulars" that attend and all know each other. I try to be friendly, but I can feel there is a clique. I would recommend going on off hours or being extra attentive to your dog.

    gravel

Not crazy about the dog park but the surrounding park is gorgeous and plenty of people were walking their dogs outside of the fence. Zeiss loved the swamps over the hill.

    Danehy Dog Park Review

Hit or miss. I had been going to Danehy dog park regularly for months - since September of 2013 - and I just recently stopped going altogether (except RARE occasion).

The after business hours crowd of dogs is rough. A majority of the owners are in attentive to their animals, as they come to primarily socialize after work. As such, you'll see many dogs being bullied or bullying, with minimal owner responsiveness. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for the dogs "working it out," but when there's a blue heeler named Lee that has more interest in aggressively herding other dogs than socializing, there needs to be intervention. When I spoke up to the owner about my concerns (the dog persistently targeted my Labrador puppy), I was accosted by him and his defending local friends who are regulars.

If you're not a part of the human pack, your dog is not as welcome, and you feel the vibes of other owners watching and judging you.

The few times I've enjoyed going to this park have been late morning/early afternoon during the week. A much nicer crowd frequents then, including a few dog walkers.

Overall, would not recommend for a dog park, mostly because of the people.
