    St. Mary's Glacier Trail is a beautiful, pet-friendly hiking trail in Idaho Springs, CO, with great views from the top. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash at all times. Within 30 minutes of setting off, you'll be at the top of the glacier enjoying the refreshing lake of St. Mary's. This is a moderate 2.4-mile trail that is highly trafficked by lots of pups.       Great hike for dogs of all sizes

      Short enough hike without any serious scrambles that most all dogs can enjoy. Lake allows dogs to get a little wet after they pose for Instagram photos in front of awesome scenery

      Worth the uphill hike!

      A must see in Colorado. The parking is a bit tricky to understand (leave $5 in envelope in drop box) but once we got that sorted we made the uphill trek to St Mary’s Lake and glacier view. Its a rocky uphill climb but very doable! We didn’t climb the glacier itself but if you are up to it (and have the proper gear) it looks amazing!
