  Never again

  the road to get to the water access is super rough, so your pups may get sick. there is only about 50 feet of “beach” like access. not worth the trip out.

  Good dog beach

  Everyone here is laid back and most bring their dogs. It is a popular beach for kite boarders, so sometimes it's a busy beach. There are some little trails too. The tide comes in in the afternoon, so make sure you keep an eye on that for a way off the beach later in the day. Our dog loved being on the beach and walking in the lake.

  Great place to cool off

  We have lived in this area for 20 years, and never took the time to visit Sherman Island. We wanted to take our seven month old puppy to the water yesterday, and decided to visit Sherman Island. There were several families there and a couple of doggies.. It was a great place for our puppy to venture off into the water for her first time. She loved it, and my daughter enjoyed building Sandcastle‘s. This is not a big beach, but it was perfect for us.
