Rockville pooches will love the chance to play at this residents-only fenced Rockville Dog Park at King Farm. It's a great place to get some off-leash exercise. Water fountains, was stations, benches, and picnic tables are also available. In order to keep the Dog Park safe from non-vaccinated and unlicensed dogs, and those not compliant with the rules, the Dog Park is locked and restricted to Rockville residents only whose dog(s) are licensed with the City of Rockville. Dog licensing is handled by the Neighborhood Services/Animal Control Division of the Rockville City Police Department. All dogs older than four months are required to be licensed.
I've taken my puppy to several parks and this is by far our favorite. He loves the kiddie pools and always has a blast with all the other dogs. I like that there is grass for the dogs to run around in. We usually go every weekend to get some energy out.
You are supposed to be a Rockville resident and have licensed your dog to use this park. There are separate sections for small dogs and big dogs, which I think is very good. While it's not fancy, it's a decent amount of space and well maintained. It's also generally not overcrowded the way some of the other county dog parks can get. We take our 50 lb retriever mix here at least a couple times a month and have always had good experiences.
