    Bad experiences

Every time we go' people have big dogs in the small dog section so they can chat with friends. Last visit we Had a 50 pound shepard come running full speed and my 10 pound dog wanted to be picked up. The shepard knocked me down and the owner laughed. Great park, just poor pet parents.

    Huge!

I took my doodle here the other day, wanted to try a new park and I'm glad I did. HUGE fenced in area for the big dogs. shade, benches for the owners...Nice people. I will not go a day or so after rain because of an area that has potential to be VERY muddy. I will definitely be taking my dog back. Nice!

My pup always has fun! (Will need a rinse when home)

Large dog area is a huge fenced area with lots of benches, waste bag receptacles (always stocked), trash cans, and bottles of water. Old school water pump in center and friendly patrons who will gladly show you how to fill one of the many bowls available. no need to bring a ball because there are tons of tennis balls around. no dog playground equipment BUT there are always dogs so playtime is always on. PLEASE follow your dog and pick up after them. even if you wanna be solo, there is enough space where you can walk without having to socialize. But if you do want to chat, visitors are diverse and friendly, just like the dogs that enjoy. small dog park is adjacent and may have some playground equipment. it’s for actual small dogs though. it is small and also always full with dogs. keep in mind that it’s mostly dirt which can get muddy. there is a part in the large dog area that has some grass but it’s at the far end. I have added photos of my pup enjoying the park.
lastly, beautiful overall park and huge. if you want to take an incredible walk, it’s probably at least an hour along water with a waterfall area.

    Dog Loves It.

I enjoyed the park so as my dog. There is a lot of space so if u don’t want your pup to ply with certain dogs you can just walk away to other side of the park. People seams to be responsible and friendly. I only wish there would be more grass than mud. But I’m guessing it’s hard to keep up with grass or when there is constant dog running.

Great space for dogs to run and play

I had previously brought my dog (who passed away in December) to the small dog run at this park last summer. She was a 7lb miniature pinscher. I will say that our first experience there wasn't great. While I was impressed with the size of both the dog run and the small dog run, I was not impressed with the people who were rude to say the least. However, today, I went back with my 5 month old min pin puppy (she's about 9 lbs and loves to run) and we had a great time. She loved running back and forth, chasing sticks, etc. And, the other dog owners were fabulous people. I think the biggest thing is knowing your dog, it's behavior, what it responds to, etc. I would suggest owners teach their dog to come when called before going to any dog park. BTW- Picking up your dog only makes it scared of interactions.

Biting dog, people that bring in food, lots of poop

There was a dog that was biting my dog on the back of her legs. The dog owner could not stop or catch this little biter. After three bites he finally got him. If your dog won't come to you you can't go to the park. Another women brought in dog treats. Bad idea. Never appropriate. I think because the park is so large and people don't want to walk around, standing chatting, they miss when their dog poops and it's a mess. I wash my dogs feet before I let them in the car.
