    Not consistent

If you are passing through and get excited to bring the pups, be aware it could be closed for “bad conditions”

    Awesome and beautiful dog park

We are visiting from Indiana and brought our boy for some fun and exercise!
The park exceeded our expectations! All the dogs were well behaved and owners were friendly! Tunnie was living his best life running and playing! He made both human and furry friends ❤️❤️❤️

    Risky

Like any dog park, the risk is that owners are not aware that their dog's behavior is dangerous. One too many experiences of aggressive dogs here.

    We had fun

We’re on a road trip and took our pup here to stretch his legs. He had a great time running around. Got to talk to some other dog-parents and everyone was really nice.

This place is an absolute treasure

We drove 4 hours for this first stop on our doggy road trip and I would 100% do it again. This place is beautiful, well maintained and is brimming with great dogs and wonderful pawrents. I think because it’s so big, it allows dogs who aren’t very fond of each other to just go another direction. It seems that like-minded doggos naturally gravitate toward each other and play wonderfully. We walked it first on leash to get a lay of the land, but I felt no qualms about letting my little guy run. The same couple of dogs who greeted him initially came right back to him when he was freed of his tether and they played wonderfully. Parents are attentive. There’s a little human library, huge picnic areas, very clean human restrooms and a nice dog wash area for the mudders. I am so glad we had the chance to visit and can’t wait to go back.

    Awesome park!!!!

On Google Maps, it’s called the Bark Park. The whole island is an oasis for the dogs. Humans can also enjoy walking the park while keeping an eye on their pups. Friendly humans and dogs. If you’re in the area visiting Niagara Falls, it’s worth a drive down. My pups really enjoyed running around and playing.

A must stop & great place for a bbq

Fantastic park on an island (natural barrier). The entrance is fenced off so they can escape the island unless by swimming across the creek (unlikely). Plenty of space to roam and multiple points to access the water for a swim. Doesn't feel crowded. Plenty of shade and benches. Water fountain and wash station. Restroom. Truly a must stop to give your dog some exercise and socialization. Would make a great spot for a bbq/gathering (pavilion and grill thingy there). Interesting remants of old structures including a very old dog statue water station (allegedly this was private land made into the park around 1937 - one building does still have a marker indicating 1937).

    Beautiful but not fenced in!

This park would easily have 5 stars if it was fenced in. Our lab loves to swim so he was hard to keep sight of when we played here. Other than that, the park itself is gorgeous, friendly people and dogs, and the volunteers there are so kind! Just wish I could be a little more worry-free letting my dog off his leash.

    Great Bark Park

The barkpark is an awesome off-leash dog island with walking paths, bathrooms, poop bag stations, garbage cans, and water access for swimming. it’s a park like setting with excellent tree canopy for shade and cooler walking paths. It’s also open year-round except a few weeks in Spring. Park rules are posted such as no young puppies or unaltered pets, pick up after your dog using handy waste bags provided if you forget your own, park hours, Easy location, right off NFB. Starbucks and Tim Hortons nearby for morning coffee walk on the Island.

    Awesome park!

My dog and I love this dog park. I live 4 hours away yet still to visit a couple of times a year. The island has plenty of room to run and explore, the people and their dogs are friendly, and the water access is great for dogs that like to wade or swim. We could easily spend hours here and not get bored.

Best dog park of the trip

My dog Brighe absolutely loved this park, and I did too. Spacious with plenty of shade, a dog beach and all sorts of friendly dog folk. Fantastic for dropping by on your way through like we did, but if I lived here we’d be visiting everyday.

    open to everyone & travelers

An actual Island! Walk over a bridge to enter in. This dog park island is full of shade, benches, sheltered tables and even has a bathroom. Couple of swing sets, a book exchange shelf (give a book, take a book) Nice paths for the pet parents to walk as well. A beautiful place to spend the afternoon with your pup! Not to mention pups can swim, it is an island. I posted a couple of pics below

    Gem of a dog park

As noted, the entire 14 acre (?) island is a dog park, "fenced in" only by water and a gate at the bridge to the parking lot. Shady in the summer. Accessible all year round, except for about a month in spring when the place needs to dry out from snow melt and not get torn up. Check out their FB page for any current notices. Highly recommend!

    A true gem

This is the greatest doggie place I have ever been. Lots of furry friends and kind humans. As other post explained, it is an island-not fenced, but surrounded by water. It is beautiful! Nothing like a typical dog park. I will definitely be visiting this park when I am in the area. (I live 8 hours away) So thankful to have found this place.

Best dog park I've ever found

As other have noted, this entire island is an off-leash dog park. It is a large enough area to lost your dogs in if you're not careful! Bags are provided, as well as water, restrooms, a paw washing station, and picnic tables. There's also a small outdoor library so you can burn some time reading while the dogs play. There's plenty of room for the dogs to run, a little track running around the park, and a couple of beach areas for the dogs to get in the water. My dogs love coming here to cool off on hot summer days! The only thing I would caution about is that the waterfront area on the south end of the island (the biggest beach access area) is very muddy and extremely slippery. Don't expect your dogs or you to leave here clean. My Great Pyrenees slipped in the mud while running and ended up with mud ground into his long white fur from nose to tail, and I slipped and fell trying to retrieve my other dog because she was having so much fun she didn't want to leave even after an hour and a half there.

    BEST dog park!

This dog park is AMAZING! Of course the description needs to be changed because on this ENTIRE island park the dogs are welcome OFF-leash and can run around with other dogs, go swimming, etc. we absolutely love this place!!

    Very cool off leash park

This is an island so it's a great place for your dog to swim. There are lots of trees so even on a hot day it's not so bad. Plenty of room for the dogs to run and mingle with other doggies. There is a fresh supply of water, several garbage cans, picnic shelters, gardens. I think it's the best dog park in the area.
