  Sara is right you can't have your dog off lease after 9am or before 9pm. So while it is dog friendly. They can't be off lease except st that time.

  Misleading overview

  My dog lives in the neighborhood and loves Ft. Greene Park. It's her favorite place, and she loves it there on a leash. But the overview is very misleading. There is no dedicated dog run area and, as in most NYC parks (other than in dog runs), it is legal to have your dog off leash only from 9 p.m. to closing and then again from opening until 9 a.m. People do ignore the law (frequently) but if you do so you'll annoy a lot of people and risk a stiff fine.

  Beautiful park. Lots of room to wander with your pup.
