  Simple park, friendly folks

  I didn't mind taking my dog to this park and went daily for months. Technically it's for Fredericksburg residents, but I have never needed to verify my status and I have never heard of anyone asking. There isn't a whole lot to the park besides being a simple field, but occasionally there are some toys around that your dog may enjoy. I would strongly advise against leaving any toys there, because they are likely to be stolen (in my experience). I unfortunately decided to stop going once my dog had gotten diarrhea the day after going, 3 separate times. I can't say for sure that this park cause the issue, but I haven't had any issues since then. There are folks that go regularly who are really kind and laid back. You'll want to be careful if you have a smaller/skiddish dog since there isn't a separation of the size of dogs.

  Large Fenced In Fburg Dog Park

  Love the space but wish people would pick up after there self. Also this park needs more equipment or pools for the fur babies!

  Dirty and Exclusive

  Have never seen anyone pick up after their dog. Half the park is often closed. For old town residents only. It’s just not good and if people DID want to use it, only residents can use it. Even though I’m a resident, I go elsewhere due to how filthy the park gets due to fellow residents. :(

  Skip the park, walk the trail

  While only Fredericksburg residents can use the park (lame), it's located along the Canal Path / Heritage Trail which is a really nice walk.

  Poor choice

  This dog park is not friendly to small dogs as there is no separation. The big dogs can easily gang up on the small dogs and owners seem to ignore their big dog bully behavior.

  Please don't advertise that Fredericksburg is dog friendly because they have a dog park. if tourists go they will only find the old towne snobbery of Fredericksberg- NO OUTISIDERS ALLOWED in their precious dog park

  F'Burg Residence

  Pretty sad that Spotsylvania residents cant use this park. Spotsy has no dog park and technically my address is Fredericksburg but we're not allowed to use it. We're even willing to pay for the extra license. Ridiculous!
