The creek is dame up in one area providing a pond for the dogs to swim. EXPECT that ur dog will get wet and dirty here. ???? It I a little hike on the flat main trail from the parking lot to the restroom area and from the restroom area to the dam. My dogs and others love it. Large Enclosed Area

This was our first time to the off leash park. It was a little hard to find, since there was no signage at the enter we came in, so we just followed the other dogs till we saw signs that lead us back into the park. They have a large enclosed area that is bordered with trees. There is only one area for you to sit down, other than that you have to stand. It was late April and because it had rained a lot it was muddy because there is very little grass. They have a fountain you can fill jugs up as you come in, but there is no direct water on site. All in all it was a nice place to come for some off leash play time for our pup.

    Off Leash

This is a great Off Leash area. A lot of the dogs are super social & owners responsible. The weekend crowd can be iffy. There's a husky (Honey) that many should avoid. Owner telling people if her dog doesn't know their dog, they shouldn't enter the yard with her dog cause of aggressive behavior. This dog happened to go after my puppy in a very aggressive manner & I've seen this same dog attack other dogs. As I've said this is a great place. Just be watchful.

    Water Source

Ok, now there is a water source here at the park. You have to walk past the water fountain to.get to the fenced in area's. There is a basket with containers sitting right there for u to fill up and bring one or two or more if u like up to the fenced in area. There u will find bowls for the dogs to drink n out of.

    Hot Dog Dam

Also here at Frick Park is the Hot Dog Dam. It is located on the lower entrance of the park. IT is a fenced in area with a level section , a pond where the creek flows fresh water though and a hillside for the dogs to run and enjoy.

    Great Dog Park

Frick dog Park is a great off leash park for your dogs. There is a double gateway entry and is very large. There are two fenced in areas for the dog's. The people there are friendly. As with any dog park there have been some instances es with the dogs but that is to be expected. Anytime you have that many dogs together doing many different things a dog owner needs to be diligent with their pet. I have been taking my dogs here for over 5 years and there are many regular there.

    Dog killed at park

Small dog was killed by another large dog. JD is right. People are stupid. Besides bringing kids, they bring dogs that kill. Stay away.

    Stopped Going, Stupid People

It's impossible to enjoy time with your dog here because stupid people insist on bringing their toddlers and even infants in strollers into the area with the dogs. Little ones just don't belong in a place with big, romping, playful dogs, but the people who go to this park are too special and self-entitled to realize that. Despite their stupidity, if a little kid gets knocked down, guess whose fault it's going to be--you and your dog's. Count me out.

    Down hill

This park used to be great but has really went down hill over the years. All mud now and broken fences and still no on site water.

    great area, but muddy

There are two totally fenced dog exercise areas within a much larger park. (The rest of the park is "leashed dogs only". I love the park and go there every day. However, the off leash areas are quite often extremely muddy. It does not stop me from going, but my dog needs a bath afterwards. Also, I've already witnessed several aggressive dog incidents; you have to be careful about who else is there when you're there.

    Update on fencing

There are two separate areas, and both are now fully fenced!!--the second one, just this season (2010). Very nice park, with lots of grass. It's a bit of a walk to get into the park from Beechwood Blvd, but nice paths along the way, and lots of friendly dogs and people. They encourage everyone to pick up a milk carton full of water at the faucets along the way to the dogpark, or to bring your own water.
