Mark Twain National Forest is pet-friendly. Located in central and southern Missouri, this beautiful forest land welcomes dogs to join their owners on most trails, as long as they are leashed and cleaned up after. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed at Enchantment Permit Area and Ingalls Lake area of Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Mark Twain National Forest is best accessed during daylight hours and is open every day of the week.
