Olana State Historic Site

Olana State Historic Site is a historic house museum and property in Greenport, New York, near the city of Hudson. The estate was home to Frederic Edwin Church, one of the major figures in the Hudson River School of landscape painting. Access to Olana’s dog-friendly, 250-acre landscape is free. The park is open every day from 8 AM to sunset. Bring Fido to explore Frederic Church’s designed landscape with five miles of carriage roads as a way to enjoy the outdoors. Visit Website

    Great location

    Great place to take our dogs. Good gravel paths that were easy going even when it’s rainy. We took the Ridge Road which was 0.6 miles and part of the the North Road back up which was another 0.5 miles.
