Palisade Rim Trail Head
Palisade Rim Trail is a 3.3 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Palisade, Colorado that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Although the outward hike is uphill, it isn’t too tough as it meanders back and forth. The petroglyphs are really interesting and an added bonus at the top. You can continue for another 8 miles to the upper rim if you are so inclined. It was all very Fido friendly, but remember to take a lot of water, as there is little shade.
