Wish the small dog area had been mowed

we came out on a Monday. finding the actual entrance was a little bit of an effort but once we did the parking was good and the walk to the small and large dog areas are minimal. there were bowls of water out but I had brought my own. while we were here the cleanup crew came and reloaded bags and picked up the waste I. both areas
I wish the small dog area had had the nice cut green grass the big dog area had. ours was overgrown and dry

    Free Dog Park

Great little off-lease dog park. Don’t understand the negative reviews. It’s a nice park. They have both small dog and large dog areas. Just make sure to bring water! The community bowl isn’t always full. Bonus is there is no charge! (Unlike most of the parks in Aurora)

    Great Park

My dogs love this park! Usually they stick pretty close by me, but here they run and play with other dogs and the obstacle course. I don't mind that it is mostly dirt with a few weeds here and there, it does make it easier for clean up, but I don't like that I have to bring my own water for my dogs, that is my only complaint. A great park to bring your dogs if you're looking for one.

    good local park

As others have stated there are no ponds here. There is a pump for water but it only works in the summer. There is a separate small dog area. The main area has a spot with some training things that can be fun to get your dog to go through or jump over. In the spring and fall the ground is mostly covered with short weeds and then turns to dirt in the summer and winter. Most of the people who come are friendly but every once in a while you get someone who doesn't seem to understand dogs and can get crabby at your dog for being a dog. For that reason I like to come here at off hours so there is less of a chance of that. I forgot to mention that this park is more like 1 acre, not 15. If you want a larger park you can go to Cherry Creek State Park off leash area for a fee.

    Dog Park

I've been taking my dog to this dog park for awhile and I'm just now reading that this park is supposed to have ponds? I've never seen any. Maybe it's a seasonal thing, I don't know. And I've never seen any grass here! So if you're thinking you're going to a fully grassed park, it's not. It's all dirt. Which isn't bad, because it makes it easy to clean up after your dog. I've never seen a pump here. I've always had to carry water with me, if my dog wanted water. I've also noticed that some dog owners bring dogs that aren't fixed or displaying their vaccination tags. Not to mention that those are usually the same dogs that become aggressive with dogs that are just trying to play. But other than that, this is a great park. There's alot of space for dogs to run. And there's a separate park for little dogs, so they don't get run over by the bigger ones. I like this park, I just wish there was grass and ponds like they say!

    Dog review

I have 3 dogs that I take to this park almost daily. The dogs love it. There is a separate dog park for the little ones, but they are also welcome in the big dog side , if they like big dogs. We have a nice obstacle course and a pump for water in the summer. The owners are pretty nice and responsible, but we do have our share of those that break the rules. The few that ruin it for us don't carry water, clean up after their dog, bring in small children (which we then have to worry about), and some who are not schooled in dog behavior. I think it is not much different in other dog parks in the area. I have not had a problem there. Please remember to always take care of your dog and his/her business!

Good for a regular dog park

Grandview Dog Park is pretty good for a regular dog park. It is about 50/50 grass and dirt, some agility obstacles, plenty of shade and seating, and a water pump in summer. There is also a separate small dog area. Overall the people tend to be nice and responsible, though you do get the occasional unspayed female or unsocialized dog. We love taking our Doberman pup there to play.
