Super Museum & Gift Store is a dog-friendly museum in Metropolis, IL. The museum features over 70,000 items from the life's work of longtime Superman enthusiast and collector, Jim Hambrick, who has amassed one of the greatest collections of Superman memorabilia in the world. The museum is organized around particular eras and portrayals of Superman, spanning television, movies, and comics. You can bring your leashed dog into the gift shop, but you must ask a staff member to meet your dog before being allowed into the museum areas. Visit Website

Great little museum -- like walking through my childhood!
This is a great little museum -- I felt like I was walking through my childhood. They have displays of artifacts from the original Adventures of Superman TV series from the 1950s all the way through the modern Superman movies. I was especially surprised to see the telephones and intercoms that were on the desks of Perry White, Lois Lane and Clark Kent in the TV series.
We asked if our dog Shiloh could go in the museum with us. Not a second later, Shiloh was welcomed to join us!
