Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge

Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge is a dog-friendly outdoor activity in San Antonio, NM. From October 1st through March 31st, Fido is welcome to join you as you tour the 12-mile loop around the perimeter of the refuge from the comfort of your vehicle. To protect the inhabitants of the refuge, pets are not allowed on most of the trails during this time. However, leashed Fido can join you on the Chupadera Wilderness National Recreation Trail and Canyon National Recreation Trail as well as the El Camino Real Tierra Adentro Overlook. From April 1st through September 30th, leashed Fido is welcome on all of the hiking trails; however, only service dogs may accompany you on observation decks or inside the visitor center.     Pet stays in car

    refuges are not for dogs but birds. you drive loops to see birds but dogs must stay in car :)
