  This area is half the space of a short block. I live right across the street and walk my dog past it often. Commonwealth Avenue is a busy street with a 25 mile an hour speed limit. There is no fenced in area. I have seen many dogs almost get hit by cars chasing squirrels or other dogs across the street. There is a church next to it that has a fenced in area that I see dogs chasing balls. I don't know if the church cares but I'm sure it is not part of the dog park. The safest bet is to throw balls in the church parking lot which is fenced in. I have discussed fencing in this area with the city, and the city is nonresponsive. Also, the fence around the church parking lot doesn't touch the ground all the way around so it is easy for dogs to get outside of the fenced in area.
