    Free Dog Park

Nice sized, free dog park. Two things I'd change are add a shade tree and running water closer to park itself.

    Nice dog park!

Brought my two girls here to break up a 4 hour trip & they loved it! We had the park to ourselves & it was pretty clean. Only saw a couple of poop piles from irresponsible owners. They even have poop bag dispensers here so really no excuse not to pick up after your fog. The small dog area, however, has been turned into a horseshoe pit yard. But we've now been here twice, on the way up north & on the way home, and we've been alone both times. Only thing I'd like to see is a tree or two planted so there was some shade for the pups.

    Decent, kinda small

Decent dog park but small. The fence needs to be fixed as some areas are pushed up (not the safest for little dogs). Does have some nice equipment and waste bags available. Wish there was some water and shade available. Is worth going to.

    Spacious, well supplied, and clean

I have travelled with my two dogs across country and found this park to be more spacious than most. A nearby hill (it is 12/30/17) had families sledding down hills and children’s laughter was a delight as my dogs played. The pick up bags were well stocked and the trash barrels were maintained. I found (and picked up) just TWO leavings from other dogs. Not bad at all because everyone can miss one upon occasion.

    Clean, small and lacks water

The park is well suited for small dogs. At approximately half an acre it is small fully fenced dog park. The fense is short at 4 ft. The obstacles are good for challenging my 2 yr. old norwegien elkhound mix. Previous reviews stated the park was dirty with dog feces, it is currently clean and the grass freshly cut. The park does lack shade and water source. Bring plenty of water and a bowl. We were at the park on a wednesday at 1 pm and the only dog there.

    Lonely but tidy

Visited this dog park today for the first time. It's nothing to brag about but needed for this region. No other dogs were there when we went around 2-4pm. No water available so I brought my dogs bowl and a bottle of water. Grass was clean and bags available for animal waste. My dog just loved being able to stretch her legs and if we go back hopefully she'll have someone to play with.

    Disgusting

Not only is this so called "dog park" very small and seemingly perpetually muddy, NOBODY picks up after their dogs and it is literally full of poop. it is beyond disgusting when you can't find a poop-free spot to play with your dog.

    Hund Platz Dog Park

This was a waste of gas to get to. I appreciate the attempt to make a dog park, but this was small, flooded, poorly designed, and lacks the amenities of a dog park, like a spray down station, watering areas, etc. There are benches stationed right along the fence (already very short), which makes it incredibly easy for dogs to jump right over. I have a hound who loves to track, and when the nose goes the ears close. I will not be taking my dogs back, for fear of them running off and because I wouldn't waste the gas again. If you're looking for a nice dog park, try the one in Davison. I just wish I had enough money to donate and make the improvements this park needs.

    Not impressed

It's nice that Frankenmuth has a dog park, but I'm not sure it was well thought out. It was constructed in the old outdoor skating rink; a low area that was flooded and frozen every winter. No one bothered to level the ground, so it's a muddy mess after it rains. The is no running water for drinking, cooling off, or rising dirty dogs. There are 3 obstacles and a fire hydrant (I guess someone thought it'd be cute?), but absolutely no trees within the fence for shade. There are two bag dispensers (one at either end of the park).
Remember to bring your own toys, water and dish, and towels to clean off your dog.

    Hund Platz Dog Park

Great place for dogs who love to run and play!.. when theres just a few. Older locals are rude and bring older dogs that are NOT friendly sometimes. I've had a few run-ins were the dog was so old they actually carried there dog into the park! But, there are a few times were there has been younger groups with high energy dogs who are very willing to except new dogs into the park and love to play with them! For me its worth the drive just to see who's out that day. And my boy loves every minute of it. Bring your own water though! there isn't a place in the park for drinking.
