Frankenmuth Dog Bowl 2023

Frankenmuth Dog Bowl

Unless you don't like crowds, there is something for everyone. From viewing morning Hot Air Balloons to Balloon Glow at night. For the dogs: vendors, dog play area, treats, shows to watch and more. Some of the Riverplace shops allow dogs in store also. There were areas with shade and tents to sit under if needed.

No access

The Barklands at Beckley Creek Park

We do not live in Louisville, but from time to time visit the Parklands. We recently found Barklands but were surprised to find unlike the rest of Loop this area is NOT free and open to public. What a shame as we've visited other states and areas with free dog parks.

Free Dog Park

Hund Platz Dog Park in Memorial Park

Nice sized, free dog park. Two things I'd change are add a shade tree and running water closer to park itself.

Frankenmuth Dog Bowl visit

Drury Inn & Suites Frankenmuth

Quiet room despite visiting during the Dog Bowl. We enjoyed eating outside with our dog and watching the Hot Air Balloons each morning. There is also really nice shaded courtyard between hotel and church. Our dog enjoyed watching people walk by with their dogs. The staff really seemed to like dogs and that made for great experience. Drury includes real nice breakfast, supper and evening drinks. There is tons to do nearby and I highly recommend visiting Frankenmuth during Dog Bowl or Halloween. So much fun.
