My dog loves to run and meet other dogs there. however his very small and can crawl under the gates since the rain and floods have washed away so much dirt underneath them. you really have to keep an eye on very small dogs. It has been quite a mudhole this spring but we still like it there.when threre are other dogs to socialize with

Not sure I get why the dog park is closed on weekends- What about those of us who work for a living, and can only go on weekends because we don't get off work before 5 during the week?

This Park is barely being maintained by the city. The Fence for the 30lb and Up is gone. one of the gates for the the Double Gate entry is missing. Trash Can overflowing. Sitting table in the area is about to fall over. Positive, the small dog area has been mowed and is a huge area for small dogs to run free. Leashed Dogs are allowed on the paved walking trail round the neighboring lake.

It's basically a large shaded fenced in area. Most people don't know about it because it's hidden WAY in the back of the park behind the baseball fields. It's really shady and we are usually the only dog there for awhile, so it's a good place to let your dog burn off some steam alone. The big dog area is fenced in from what I can see, but it does get really muddy after it rains.

It's been several months,( maybe five now I can't remember) and the fence is still down on the big dog section. Considering I have big dogs, that I have to take in the little dog section, it's a little awkward when someone else comes by and I have to leave because they have a little dog. They really don't do alot of upkeep with their dog park, ie emptying the trash, and just the huge one is the fence. When they do get it held up with poles, it's still leaning and of course falls on the next rainy day. When it rains the park is the first place to flood and retains a large amount of water. However, it is a fun place that my dogs love to run around and play in. If you have friendly dogs, this is a great place to socialize them, and let them go crazy.
