We love bringing the dogs to this beach off season. On really nice days there are A LOT of dogs there and not every owner has good control of their dog, so be aware.
I have seen many locals bring their dogs out after 5 pm when the lifeguards go off duty but I usually obey the posted rules and haven't brought them during the summer months. - SusanJun 5, 2023Weather Dependent
If the weather is warm in May, this beach is a nice place for dogs. My Goldendoodle (who loves the water) would not venture into the frigid water however. Giving two bones due to the seasonality of this beach

My dog and I love going here off season! We prefer it off season-less people! Bring your chuckit ball :)

Pets only allowed Oct-April. WHO wants to splash in beach water Oct-Apr?? Not me and not my dog. 2 thumbs down Hampton.
