Jefferson Square Dog Park

Jefferson Square Dog Park is a pet-friendly recreational area in San Francisco, CA. The off-leash area is on the West side of Jefferson Square Park. Jefferson Square Park is in the Western Addition neighborhood and is a popular park for locals. Dog owners are reminded to clean up any mess that is left behind. Pets must be current on all vaccinations, non-destructive, and leashed outside of the off-leash area. Dog walkers are permitted with a limit of eight dogs under their care. Open area - NOT a dog park
This is simply an "area" for off-leash dogs. There is no fencing, and it is a very high traffic area. Not great for dogs who need a fenced in space to play.

Watch out for aggressive dog
I love this park. Green grass and a good area to play. You need to have excellent voice command of your dog because there is a lot of traffic around and there are no fences whatsoever. The bad part: there is a dog that frequents this park that is very aggressive. It does not play nice and I have seen it bite other dogs although I have never let my dog close enough for it to bite. I am not breed discriminatory as I own a pitbull mix, but all dogs need good training and this pit mix is out of control. BEWARE! It is a black, female pit mix, owner is a late 20s woman.
