    A favorite in Chesapeake

My pup and I have hit the trails here several times. It's certainly one of the better scenic hiking locales in Chesapeake. We've spent several hours exploring and we usually stop on the long pier for a dog biscuit and water. The trails a fairly marked but get 4 stars as we often have to traverse some very muddy terrain. I've not been here during the "on" season, but I do know if you go during warm weather, bring the mosquito repellent. This area is wet and wooded and that always equals major clouds of the little blood suckers.
