    Ok Dog Park

we came to this dog park as a passing through but this was super far off the highway and really out of the way. there was hardly any shade coverage. we got there and went to the big dog side and a pitbull walked in right after us. the dog was aggressive the moment it got in literally attacked a dog as it was walking in so i avoided being anywhere near the dog. then about 10 minutes later the dog attacked again and more viciously. we left right after that. the owner could not control her dog. so for me this was not worth it. sadly.

    Great Area

Dog park is a large area and great for dogs to play. There’s shade for both dogs and humans and places to sit. There is a dog fountain there but water barely comes out of it so I recommend bringing water for your dog.

Owners, beware of other dogs - their owners WILL NOT control them

There are two sections for off-leash play. I wish there were more, perhaps smaller areas. We took our German Shepherd puppy to the far side of the "small dog" pen to play. We were minding our own business when a group of three dogs came over. Without warning, one of them (a pug mix, I think) started attacking our puppy. My son pushed away the pug. Within seconds, it came back and started attacking our puppy again. When my son used a "Chuck-It" stick to push the dog away, the pug's owner said it was only playing and didn't need to be disciplined. Bared teeth and snarling is NOT playing - that's an attack!. When we yelled at the owner to get her overly aggressive dog out of the park, WE were the ones who were told by several people to leave!

In short, if the park is empty, use it. If there are other dogs around, watch your dog carefully and be prepared to break up any fights because the other people just don't care what their dogs do.

Thanks to Carol for her review clearing up the location of the park. Yahoo maps doesn't have it placed correctly either. More review later.

    Location of Dog Park

The park is great, the people friendly. Nice having the large and small dogs separated. My one negative remark is the map is incorrect. I searched and searched the area between Modoc Dr NE & Tecumseh Dr. NE. and never located. The park is actually west of N. River Rd., Keizer, OR take Chemawa Rd.,heading west, go straight (4 way stop) past Windsor Island Rd. This site needs to update their map, showing the correct location.
