Continental Divide Trail

The Continental Divide Trail spans 3,100 miles through five states (New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana). Hikers can start at the southernmost point in Hachita, NM, at the Crazy Cook Monument or at the northernmost point at Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta. Dogs are welcome on the trail with the exception of portions that travel through national parks. The terrain can be very rough on paws and bears are a threat in the northern states, so prepare accordingly. Visit Website
