Dog-friendly Lake Koocanusa stretches 90 miles from the edge of Libby, MT to the tip of British Columbia. Held back by 422 feet tall Libby Dam, located 16 miles upstream from Libby, Lake Koocanusa is a popular recreation area for outdoor enthusiasts. Love this
Lots of little hikes off lake area. Bring bear spray and keep dog on leash ( we used a 24 foot) unless your dog has excellent recall. Deer are everywhere.
