Plumb Beach

  Not for Me

  Visited 7/20 morning. Don't want to be mean, but just state the facts. Decent amount of trash in the parking lot, including broken glass. Made our way inside to the beach. Two very nice ladies warned me to stay away from a trash receptacle because there is a rat in there. I asked her to repeat and she did and also stated the rat, "came at them twice." We made our way down to the beach, stayed all of 5 minutes and turned to leave seeing the two ladies leaving as well (rat still in trash can, trash bag moving). When we left we had to wash of dog paws because he inadvertently stepped on a smashed rat when we were existing (didn't see it on the way in-it had been there for a while and was really smashed, but you could clearly see the outline was indeed a rat).
  On the upside we did see a guy with a fishing pole enter as we were exiting and also there must be a bike path along the beach because we saw quite a few people cycling--so that part must be fine. So the rating is 1 bone for the cycling part.
